We often get the question whether every bedside table is suitable for wrapping with interior foil. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The interior foil adheres best to smooth surfaces. Bedside tables made of scaffolding wood or other rough materials can be wrapped, but it is more difficult than bedside tables with a smooth surface. Tips for wrapping a bedside table
You can easily wrap a nightstand yourself with interior foil. However, it is important to work accurately. Is this the first time you are going to wrap? Then follow the steps below for the best result! Would you rather outsource the job to a specialist? Then use the Colletti Plakservice and we will arrange a specialist for you.
Step 1: Preparation
Clean the nightstand thoroughly and make sure the surface is dry and dust free before you start. Remove any handles or knobs and store them in a safe place.
Step 2: Measure
Measure the surface of the bedside table accurately before applying the foil. This way you know exactly how much foil you need and you can avoid waste.
Step 3: Cutting
Trim or cut the foil to size before applying. Make sure to cut the foil slightly larger than the surface of the nightstand, so you can cut off the excess later.
Step 4: Apply
Slowly and carefully apply the foil to the surface of the nightstand. Work from top to bottom and use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out any air bubbles as you apply the foil.
Step 5: Finishing
Cut away any excess foil with a sharp knife and use a hair dryer to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
Step 6: Drying
Allow the foil to dry thoroughly: Allow the foil to dry for at least 24 hours before using the bedside table again.
Extra tip: Be patient
Take your time and work calmly and controlled. Applying interior film can be a patient process, but if you do it carefully, you will get a beautiful end result.
